Ann Kerr

After a year-long battle with cancer, Ann passed away peacefully at St Elizabeth Hospice on 7th January 2013 with her loved ones at her side. Ann was a truly special person who will be greatly missed by Bob, Matt and all her family, friends, colleagues and the community in which she lived in and loved.. The number of public tributes that have poured in from the Diss Express, Stradbroke Website and Suffolk Libraries are testament to the kind of person Ann was. She has left many legacies from her tireless work in the Suffolk community, which she was so passionate about, most notably her involvement in the Save Suffolk Libraries Campaign. The St Elizabeth Hospice is a wonderful place, the nurses, doctors and volunteers who cared for Ann are some of the most special people on earth and she really was in the best place possible. Not only did the Hospice look after Ann in such a gentle and understanding way, they also looked after us (Bob, Matt, Haidee and Maureen) and in the final week when we pretty much all moved in, we were never made to feel unwelcome or in the way. We know the Hospice would be a place she would have thrown her energies into supporting and by setting up this tribute fund, she is leaving yet another legacy. Thank you for your support. Bob, Matt and Haidee xxx
